Netzwerk der Europe Direct-Zentralen in Europa:
Europe
Direct ist ein
gesamteuropäisches Informationsnetzwerk, welches in allen 25
EU-Mitgliedsstaaten existiert. Es ersetzt die bisherigen Informationsnetzwerke
Info Point und Carrefour.
In der erweiterten Europäischen Union wirken zurzeit 392 dieser Infopunkte, 20
davon in Polen. Die Europäische Kommission hat im Jahr 2005 für ihr Wirken 10
Mio. Euro bestimmt.
Die Europe Direct Zentren
haben einen allgemeinen Charakter und lenken ihre Tätigkeiten an alle Gesellschaftsgruppen
und Einwohner, welche Informationen in allen Tätigkeitsbereichen der europäischen
Institutionen suchen.
Das
Ziel des neuen
Informationsnetwerks Europe Direct ist es best mögliches Wissen über die Institutionen,
Rechte und Programme der Europäischen Union aus Sicht des EU-Einwohners zu garantieren.
Der
Tätigkeitsbereichder neuen Infopunkte ist sehr groß. Unter anderem gehört zu den Aufgaben der
Europe Direct Zentren Informationen über die Politik und die Programme der EU
zu verbreiten. Dies geschieht durch
- Ermöglichung für regionale Einwohner Information, Beratung, Hilfe und
Fragenbeantwortung betreffend Gesetzesgebung, Politik, Programme und zugängliche
Mittel aus der EU zu erhalten,
- Ermöglichung für regionale Einwohner Informationsrückerstattungen an
die EU-Institutionen in Form von Fragen, Meinungen und Vorschlägen zu tätigen,
- Ermöglichung für EU-Institutionen Verbesserungen betreffend Informationszugang
und
Informationsanpassung an die lokale Bevölkerung zu tätigen.

Das Netzwerk Europe Direct zählt 392 Infopunkte in ganz Europa, 20 davon in Polen.
Für ein ordnungsgemäßes Funktionieren von Europe Direct ist das Kommitee für
Europäische Integration in Zusammenarbeit mit der Repräsentation der Europäischen
Kommission verantwortlich.
